| Alert and Notification Details |
The Egan Warming Center Weather Tracking Team will evaluate weather forecasts as per the National Weather Service. When this team determines that extreme weather is imminent, the Operations Coordinator will initiates communication alerts as per the schedule below. Email, phone and web alerts will be sent by 1:00 pm each day. Once the 24 –hour ACTIVATE Alert has been initiated, the Warming Centers will prepare for operation regardless of temperature. |

OUTLOOK - Alert Status Definition: Extreme weather NOT forecasted in the next 72 hours
|
|
STANDBY - Alert Status
Definition: Extreme weather conditions are forecasted in the next 72 hours. No action is required at this time, but volunteers are asked to make preparations to be available to serve in warming center, should the need arise in the next 72 Hours.

WATCH - Alert Status
Definition: Extreme weather conditions are forecasted in the next 48 hours and volunteers will be expected to verify their availability in one of two ways: 1) Call our Volunteer Check-In Center at (541) 743-7111, OR 2) Visit our Online Volunteer Check-In Center.

ACTIVATE - Alert Status
Definition: Extreme weather conditions are forecasted in the next 24 hours and the warming centers will be activated and open for guests by the next evening and volunteers need to verify their availability in one of two ways: 1) Call our Volunteer Check-In Center at (541) 743-7111, OR 2) Visit our Online Volunteer Check-In Center.
Volunteers will be contacted by the Volunteer Mobilization Lead from their specific site to verify availability and confirm shift schedules.
